Universal Studios Japan is a must do if you’re in Osaka. From Super Nintendo World to Hogwarts, there really is something for everyone. But it is a big day out, and my partner and I both did well over 20,000 steps each. So, you’re going to be pretty hungry. There are some amazing foods to try at Universal Studios Japan, and this is my top 5 must-try’s.
1. Mario and Luigi’s Cap Pancake Sandwiches

These adorable pancake sandwiches come in either strawberry shortcake for Mario, or grape no-bake cheesecake for Luigi.
Location: Mario Cafe & Store (not in the Super Nintendo World, on the Hollywood Boulevard).
Cost: 900 yen
2. Hello Kitty Strawberry and Milk Churro

This was probably my favourite treat from the whole day. It is just a very sweet churro cutely decorated, but it delicious and charming.
Location: Hello Kitty’s Corner Cafe
Cost: 650 yen
3. Snoopy Bun with Custard Filling

If you haven’t tried a custard bun yet, they are delicious. Imagine a soft milk bun with warm custard on the inside. You can find some pretty cute custard bun designs, but this Snoopy custard bun is a favourite.
Location: Snoopy’s Backlot Cafe

4. Yoshi’s Lassi (Strawberry)

This is a strawberry flavoured yogurt lassi, also available in melon. Super delicious refreshing with fruit and whipped cream on top.
Location: Yoshi’s Snack Island
Price: 700 yen
5. Frozen Butterbeer

I know, a classic. But as an Aussie who visiting their first universal studios, how could I not include it? As much as I would have liked to try a classic butterbeer, a frozen one is essential for the crazy heat of a Japanese summer.
Location: Three Broomsticks
